The Duck-Billed Dinosaurs
Hadrosaurs — the 'duck-billed' dinosaurs — were the most successful and diverse herbivorous dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous. Parasaurolophus: The Crested Wonder

- Size: About 9-10 meters long, 2.5-3 meters tall at the hips, and 2.5-4 metric tons.
- The crest: A long, curved, tube-like crest extending backward from the skull. The crest was hollow, with complex internal nasal passages running through it.
- Crest function: Scientists believe the crest served multiple functions: sound production (the hollow passages acted like a musical instrument), visual display and species recognition, and possibly thermoregulation.
- Sound: Different species of Parasaurolophus had differently shaped crests, producing different resonant frequencies. Paleontologists have even reconstructed the likely sound of a Parasaurolophus call using CT scans of the crest.

- Maiasaura: 'Good mother lizard' — famous for fossil evidence of nesting colonies and parental care.
- Shantungosaurus: The largest known hadrosaur — up to 16m long and 16 tons. From China.
