  • Are there overhead constraints? Power lines, buildings, tree canopies, and aviation regulations all limit maximum height.
  • What about maintenance access? You will need a way to reach the head for servicing — plan for lift access or rope access points.

Sauropod installation is more complex than other dinosaurs because of the scale:

  • Foundation: Requires a reinforced concrete slab or equivalent foundation capable of supporting several tons of dynamic load.
  • Crane access: Sauropods are assembled on site and typically require a crane for lifting the neck and head sections into place.
  • Power: 3-phase power may be required for the largest models with many motors.
  • Wind rating: Specify the wind rating for your location — coastal and high-altitude installations need extra reinforcement.
  • Maintenance plan: Establish a regular maintenance schedule, including annual structural inspections and tension checks on all cables and joints.
